Alexandria Jaycees Foundation is proud to support Dr. William Mazzella, MD and Medstreet
Dr. Mazzella practices Internal Medicine in hospitals and Intensive Care Units throughout the United States. When at home with his family, they take to the streets. They provide medicine, food, clothing, and love to the homeless. After dark, Dr. Mazzella can be seen under bridges, on the streets, and in the alleys fighting disease, hypothermia, hunger, and loneliness. It is the best that he can do at this time.  https://www.medstreet.org

Our annual donation of $1000

this support without your generosity.  Thank you

SOUTH COUNTY RECOVERY CENTER-HOW CAN WE HELP?
The Alexandria Jaycees Foundation is a regular donor to the South County Recovery Center.  The center provides daytime services to those in recovery from addiction, including veterans and the homeless by offering a safe space for men and women in need.  In addition to peer counseling and education, the center provides meals, showers, activities, clothing, and the opportunity to do laundry.

The Foundation has been providing items to the center since 2017 including clothing, feminine hygiene products , toiletries, paper plates, dishes for the meals program, and food such as dried rice, eggs and fruits.

The center has asked for donations of cold weather clothing items, especially coats, sleeping bags, sweat shirts and sweat pants.  They are always in need of socks and food items such as fruits and vegetables.  Anyone wishing to donate items can visit their website at https://rpsva.org/recovery-centers/south-county/
