ABOUT ALEXANDRIA JAYCEES FOUNDATION
The Alexandria Jaycees Foundation was formed in 2012.  The Foundation’s charitable, civic and educational purpose is to administer various charitable programs that will assist under-privileged and under-represented persons in the Alexandria and Northern Virginia area.  This may include other civic, educational and charitable programs or organizations that would advance the quality of life for the residents of the community or the community at-large.  In developing these programs, the Foundation works closely with the Alexandria Jaycees as well as Alexandria business leaders, civic leaders and local residents  Our all-volunteer board of directors helps provide manpower support for these events, in addition to the financial support.

Check out the impact your support had on the lives of children .

Dear Alicia and Alexandria Jaycees
This is a follow-up to your wonderful letter and check sent by the Alexandria Jaycees Foundation on 6/1/16. I would like to tell you about the incredible young lady who received your scholarship to attend camp.  Unfortunately, I can not use her real name nor send you a picture as she is in foster care.  Tonya is 16 years old and very much wanted to have the opportunity to attend summer camp and to meet new friends.  Camp Virginia Jaycee was the perfect camp, as our  counselors could provided her with the needed support to assure she had an amazing camp experience!  Without the fantastic support of the Alexandria Jaycees Foundation, Tonya would have been unable to attend a session of camp!  She served as a Junior Lifeguard and gained water safety skills and self-esteem helping our Camp Lifeguards.  Additionally, she loved the camp hayrides, dances, arts and crafts, and became good friends with several other campers her age.  Thank-you so much for your support of this young lady so she could have an incredible camp experience, during a very difficult time in her life.

Sincerely,
Shirley O'Brien, Ph.D.
Director of Camp Virginia Jaycee

Dear Ms. Flinton and the Alexandria Jaycees Foundation
Thank you so much for the Alexandria Jaycees Foundation's recent donation of $250 to the Foundation for Fairfax County Public Schools' Collect for Kids campaign. These funds will be used to provide essential school supplies to needy students at Hybla Valley Elementary School to ensure they have the necessary tools for academic success.  We are grateful for your support of our students in need. Thank you again for this very kind and generous gift.
